When is the trip?

10th - 16th December 2022. Ski pass lasts all day on the 16th - there will be an option to extend your accommodation by one night (this will cost £10) and travel home on 17th December.

What are my travel options?

You can choose either the coach option or book your own flight! You can do this on the options page (through our instagram) which is going live on Friday 21st October. The return coach (there and back) is included in the base price (£639). Coaches will be going on the 10th and returning on the 16th. If you choose to fly, airport transfers will be on 10th and 17th. The base price of the trip excluding the return coach is £529.

Where is the trip?

Alpe d’Huez.

Do i have to pay for the trip in full?

No, the deposit this year is £150.

How do I find out what events are on offer?

The events launch will be in a few weeks... Keep an eye on our socials (@palatinalps) for the date!

what happens if i want to cancel my ticket for the trip?

You can either request a name change or loose your deposit. Please refer to T&C's on the WLT site.

what if i have never skiied before? is it still worth me coming?

Absolutely! You can book yourself onto beginners lessons and learn - Alpe d’Huez has one of the largest nursery areas in the Alps.

should i book lessons?

If you want to learn how to ski or improve your technique then for sure! The lessons are a really great way to meet new friends of the same skiing abilities too if this is something which you're a bit worried about.

Can I rent kit?

Equipment hire is available for all trip goers. We offer customisable equipment packages to suit your desired quality and the equipment you already have. Boots, skis, snowboards, poles and helmets can all be provided to you. You can have your equipment fitted in Durham in October - more information about this to come.

Can people who are not at durham come?

Absolutely! Whether you're an alumni who's missing Palatinalps or just keen to get involved, there's a space for you.
